reecost.com is operated by Zlicx Software Services Pvt Ltd ("reecost", "we", "us" or "our"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the rules made under it.
Under the DPDP Act, reecost is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, and you are the Data Principal.
Personal data we collect
- Demo and contact requests. When you book a demo or contact us, we collect your name, phone number, business type and city, so our team can call you back.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe to our blog newsletter, we collect your email address to send it to you.
- Your reecost account. When you sign up for reecost Retail or reecost Restaurant, we collect account details such as your name, email address and phone number, to provide the service.
- Website usage. When you visit this website, we collect information such as your device, browser, pages visited and IP address, to understand how the website is used and to measure our advertising. See our Cookie Policy.
- Spam protection. Our forms collect device and usage information to tell people and bots apart.
We collect only the personal data we need for these purposes, and we do not use it for any other purpose without telling you first.
Your consent
We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you submit a form, subscribe to our newsletter or create an account. We may also process it for legitimate uses allowed by the DPDP Act, such as when you have voluntarily shared it with us for a specific purpose, or to comply with the law.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to support@reecost.com, or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. After you withdraw consent, we will stop processing your personal data and ask our service providers to do the same, unless the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before you withdrew it.
How we share personal data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (Data Processors) who process it on our behalf, under contract, for the purposes in this policy:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): hosts reecost accounts on servers in Mumbai, India
- Zoho CRM: stores demo and contact requests
- MailerLite: sends our newsletter
- Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics: website usage statistics
- Meta Pixel: measures our advertising on Facebook and Instagram
- Google reCAPTCHA: protects our forms from spam
Some of these providers may process data outside India. We transfer personal data outside India only as permitted by the DPDP Act, and not to any country the Government of India has restricted.
We may also share personal data when required by law, or in response to a lawful request from a court, government or law enforcement authority.
How long we keep personal data
We keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires. We erase it when you withdraw consent, when you delete your account, or when the purpose is no longer being served, whichever comes first, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
How we protect personal data
We take reasonable security safeguards to prevent personal data breaches, including access controls, encryption in transit and regular backups. If a personal data breach happens, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and each affected Data Principal, as the DPDP Act requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access information about the personal data we process, how we process it, and who we have shared it with.
- Correct, complete or update your personal data.
- Erase your personal data, unless we must keep it to meet a legal requirement.
- Withdraw consent at any time, as described above.
- Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with us about how we handle your personal data.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, write to support@reecost.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children's personal data
Our website and services are meant for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 years of age without verifiable consent from their parent or lawful guardian. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will erase it.
Grievance redressal
If you have a question or complaint about how we handle your personal data, contact us at support@reecost.com. We will respond within the time set by the DPDP rules. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
